MIRQASIM(1951)
  It is a patriotic drama depicting extension and consolidation of British rule in India.When Mirjafar lost favor of the English in Bengal, he was deposed and his son-in-law Mirqasim was brought on the throne. Mirqasim very soon realized his position and encountered the British interference in administration. He shifted his capital to Monghyr and reorganized his army with the help of the French. He fought battle against the English at Katwa, Giria and Udaynala but the treachery among his men caused the defeat at Buxur in 1764 where he was completely routed out. The English was now the paramount power in Bengal, Bihar and Orissa.
